Welcome to Continental PlatesOur passion for ceramics has led us to source handpainted maiolica plates, bowls, jugs and tiles from small artisan workshops throughout Italy. We specialise in traditional decorative ceramics from Faenza, the medieval hilltowns of Umbria and the Amalfi coast, with many of their designs dating back to the Renaissance. We also have dinnerware from Provence, and handcrafted, decorative ceramics from Romania, the Czech Republic, Poland, Spain and Portugal. In addition, we offer you exquisite handmade brooches from Spain, mosaic jewellery from Florence and religious tiles from southern Italy. Our classical ceramics are stocked by discerning retailers whose niches differ from department stores. The larger items are highly sought after as gifts for significant occasions while the smaller ceramics are also an ideal choice for those seeking items that are distinctive and aesthetic.
